Lifetime Achievement Award

[Peter Cullen: wrinkles mean retro]
Written by GL

I was sitting here and thinking, like I usually do, and I thought about how many voice-over acts has the indomitable Peter Cullen taken part in. And the answer is really quite startling. Alright, the average nerd knowns that Peter Cullen voices the great Optimus Prime, as well as Ironhide. He's done way more than that; and he's done shows that you've probably seen and loved as a kid. Check it out:
  • Narrator of Transformers series
  • Narrator of Voltron series
  • Coran and King Alfor in the Voltron series
  • Ramrod in the Saber Rider And The Star Sheriffs series
  • Eeyore in Winnie-the-Pooh,
  • KARR in Knight Rider
  • Antor and Bomba, and Gunner in Dino-Riders
  • Mantus in The Pirates of Dark Water.
  • Captain Slaughter in Pound Puppies
  • My Little Pony
  • Filmation's Ghostbusters
  • The Smurfs
  • Venger in the Dungeons & Dragons series
  • DuckTales
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Challenge of the GoBots
  • Murky Dismal in the Rainbow Brite series
  • Scratch from The Biskitts series
  • Monterey Jack in the Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers series
  • Cindarr in the Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light series
Now that's a career to be proud of - even if I never really found out who voiced who until about 10 years later. Classic Articulation give props and respect to Peter Cullen: keep it real homie (I don't think he knows what that means).
